There’s no doubt that the past couple of years have been challenging for Remedy Church. We have seen our planting pastor go, a pandemic, a hopeful call to a pastor that ended up not working out, and personal hardship for our people including job loss and frustrations, loss of loved ones, and we have all faced difficult decisions.
Many of those challenges have spurred us on to new mission opportunities, and deeper connections with one other. We have grown together, shown God’s love to one other, and built each other up.
But those challenges also caused many of us to wonder about the future of Remedy Church. Recently we asked for your feedback on your thoughts about that future. We are so thankful for the many of you who reached out to talk individually, who spoke up in our meeting, and who have been praying for our next steps.
With each conversation, it became more and more clear that while we deeply value this community and the mission that God had called us to, everyone’s energy, time, and perseverance has been spent.
Taking those conversations to heart and to discussion, the leadership team has decided that it is time for Remedy Church to come to a close.
Every moment of the last 5 years has been filled with God’s work in baptisms and in our time the Oakdale community, and in strengthening faith, and in the deepening of our personal relationships. While Remedy’s chapter in our lives is coming to an end, we must remember that life is made up of many beginnings and ends. We are so grateful for the ways that God has worked through this church and will use our time together to continue building His Kingdom through each of us in the coming years.
Every step of the way there have been two things that have never changed: God and his infinite mercy and grace, and the deep, supportive, family connections within the congregation of Remedy Church.
The celebration and last time of Worship together will be August 1, 2021.
